Old Schoolhouse Community Center
Built in the 1940s, the Old Schoolhouse Community Center in Hernando offers rental space for events. The Community Center is comprised of four (4) different rooms to accommodate your event’s needs.
The Community Center is available to rent to the public and serves as a perfect location for weddings, parties, dances, plays, and meetings.
Rental Information
Amenities and meeting rooms are available for rent to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis, as available.
There are rental fees to users for reserved exclusive use based on the following categories:
Category 1: Any Citrus County resident or business renting facilities for a private function or a recreational class or a not-for profit organization renting facilities for an organizational function, to raise funds for charity, or for the maintenance of an organization.
Category 2: Any Non-Citrus County or business renting facilities for a private function or a recreational class or a not-for profit organization renting facilities for an organizational function, to raise funds for charity, or for the maintenance of an organization.
Category 3: Any Commercial, business, or individual renting facilities for the purpose of publicity, advertising, sales, or any other for-profit purposes.
Reservations
A 25% deposit of the total rental secures a rental booking date for any building rental with remaining balance due 14 days prior to first booking date. The reservation fee does go towards your final total and is nonrefundable if an applicant cancels their reservation.
